Shelby Andal was born and raised in the Nashville area, and from the time she could walk and talk, was either singing, dancing, or creating. Taking the path of least resistance, she obtained a degree in Human Resources and became a cog in the corporate wheel for several years.  Realizing that she would never fit into that box, she left her career in 2011 to spend more time with her twin toddlers. Soon thereafter, she picked up a camera and instantly knew that she was in love.

She went on to study at Watkins College of Art & Design in Nashville, TN, and has continued learning with artists across the country. Along the way, her work has received international recognition and awards.

Shelby and her family relocated to Elgin, IL in the summer of 2023. She still spends her time creating - whether it's with a camera, a paint brush, or a needle and thread. She loves spending time with her family -her twins are teens now- and playing board games, video games, and working in her backyard garden.
