I’ve been meaning to blog and share this session for what feels like *weeks* now, but every time I sit down to do it, I have been pulled away for one reason or another. Yesterday, I told myself THIS was happening today, and this morning I woke up and saw on my calendar that it’s Leila’s birthday today!!! Maybe all the distractions were so that I could finally post this blog entry ON her birthday…
This session was one of my favorites in recent memory. I loved everything about it – We thought outside the box, the light was perfect, I loved her outfit choices… It was unique. I loved it!
When Leila’s mom, Hollie, reached out to me about this session, she mentioned her love of music, wanting to make this session something different and cool – and the fact that she had a friend with a super sweet old car that we could borrow. I jumped ALL IN, y’all. I love old cars as much as I love old chairs and furniture (and if you know me you know how much I love old chairs and furniture…).
When I saw this car in person, I’m telling you I audibly gasped. It is perfection, and combined with Leila’s wardrobe choices, the whole thing was a slam dunk… Combined with the fact that Springfield Guitar let us shoot in front of the guitar wall, and we found some amazing light to play with, and everything working out perfectly — It really was a great session!
Thank youuuuuu, Leila and Hollie for trusting me to capture such a huge moment. HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN!
