Can we just talk for a minute about this ORANGE BACKDROP?? I’ve been so excited to use it since we started talking about this project. Seriously – it’s been the one I’ve been most excited about, I think. I’m not sure… I may actually say that every single month at this point.
When we first started talking about the Vintage Pattern Project, I knew I wanted to take the opportunity to learn how to shoot in my studio, learn how to shoot with off camera flash for once and for all, and build my backdrop collection. I’ve really enjoyed the process and I’ve learned SO MUCH this year about lighting and how to get the look I want using the three lights I have in my studio… It’s been a lot of fun! I thrive on knowing *all the things* and this has been something I just didn’t know how to do much of before this year. I mean, I’m 100% okay with “faking it til you make it” in these situations because I think that’s what creates growth when you’re stretching outside of your comfort zone, but there’s a desire in me to just have the answers and know why 1 + 1 = 2.
This month’s Vintage Pattern Project…
I knew it was going to be a great one from the minute we started planning. I knew she was going to pull out all the stops for October because spooky is one of her favorite adjectives. I’m *IN* on these looks, y’all. 100% in. The patterns, the fabrics, the colors… The makeup!!! She did such a fabulous job, and I loved working with these girls. I think all of their looks fit them to perfection.
