I usually try to post the month’s Vintage Pattern Project blog entry DURING that month or at least on the first day of the next month, but let’s be real… It’s only a few days into October, and it felt like July outside until this morning so we’re just gonna roll with it…
September’s Vintage Pattern Project month was “back to school” themed and all of the patterns and fabric choices were made to reflect that. The dinosaur bones, world map, space, and vintage corduroy all SCREAM back to school and the seventies vibe of this month is giving me all the heart eyes! I love ALL of it. The hair, the dresses and accent pieces… Shoes. All of it! Jodi brought her A Game this month, y’all!
The girls did great too!! All of them showed up and brought their model faces and just killed it.
Every single month, I try to tell the story these dresses tell and I feel like we all work together to pull it off. Sometimes the outfit is whimsical and fun, like Paige’s look. Sometimes it requires a more stoic look like Allison’s librarian vibe below. Sometimes it feels more high-fashion, like Aliah’s. Sometimes it’s just mesmerizing, like Lourdes… There’s always something these dresses have to say, and a lot of times they just fit on and with the person who is wearing them. We all know that Jodi makes the dresses for each of the women who are a part of this project, but it always amazes me how well they fit in every single way…
