When I saw that Liz had dyed her hair blue again I immediately reached out to her and told her we HAD to schedule something. I don’t do that very often, but every now and again I just have to put someone in front of my camera and shoot for the fun of shooting! It was so much fun, too! We mixed and matched some things from her parents’ closets and my style closet here in the studio. I love all the colors SO much!
Collaborating with other artists is always such a joy for me. Seeing their passion come out and their excitement always makes me super excited too! Liz is such a joy to work with. She’s super creative and a really wonderful actress. We’ve worked together multiple times, but by far my favorite was when we shared the stage during Robertson County Players‘ production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I played Mrs. Lovett – a DREAM role, and she played the Beggar Woman. I loved sharing the stage with her and watching her transform into an old crazy woman every night. It was magical.
Watching her transform during this shoot was magical as well. For those of you who don’t know, Liz is a professional princess and owns her own company – Character Visits 4 U – here in Middle Tennessee. She and her team of characters make it their mission to bring joy to children and adults alike and they all take their roles very seriously. I’ve been to an event with these characters before and they are super impressive!
As much as I love watching her do her thing, I REALLY loved watching Liz break out of that princess mold for this session! She’s a badass in every sense of the word. Sassy. Sexy. FIERCE. That blue hair and that fuchsia dress have me in ALL the heart eyes, and the fact that she rocked all these looks while it was 27 degrees outside without a single complaint elevates her status from badass to complete rockstar.
Thanks for sharing your energy with me, sweet friend! This session will be a fave for me always.
