I could tell that Emma and I were going to hit it off the minute she walked into the studio. She just has a fun air about her and her smile (which she refuses to show for the camera until her braces come off) lights up the whole room.
Emma is a singer and songwriter and she is working on building an online presence and brand, so she needed some new head shots. She has a great voice, you guys! Check her out on instagram @graceemmmusic and follow along on her journey. I also found out during our session that her mom used to be a performer too and opened for some super famous country stars when she was younger, which is just super cool!
Emma’s a sophomore at ERHS and I have a feeling we’ll see lots of each other over the next few years. I actually have a session planned with her sister this weekend for freshman portraits and I can’t wait to get to know her a little too!
We had so much fun during Emma’s session. She trusted me and just rolled with my ideas and she climbed up on walls and took styling advice and we both loved every minute! I love shooting downtown Springfield because there are so many great spots around EVERY corner. It’s a gold mine! Plus, the light in these photos… We really had such a great day.
Thanks for choosing ME to capture your sophomore year and your headshots, Emma. I hope to get to capture each year for you and I hope to one day see your face on the cover of an album! Get it, girl!! You are the only one between you and your dreams. Chase them hard!
PS: It’s Emma’s BIRTHDAY today! Happy Birthday, friend! Sweet sweet 16!
